As a Senior Copywriter at The Martin Agency, I had the opportunity to work across iconic brands like Uncle Nearest, Geico, Ritz, and Google—blending smart strategy with Cultural storytelling. From soulful spirits to snackable moments and GROUNDBReAKING TECH, each campaign pushed creative boundaries. Along the way, I was proud to help lead work that earned a Cannes Lions shortlist nod for our UPS x AWAKE NY x NYFW campaign - LA BODEGA BAQUE.

UPS x Masters
As an official sponsor of the Masters, UPS launched a 2023 campaign spotlighting small businesses, including a powerful feature on Spectrum Golf. Titled “Autism is My Superpower,” the spot tells the incredible story of 12-year-old Carter Bonas, the autistic CEO behind the brand. Carter’s journey is as inspiring as his business—earning him national attention and the title of Sports Illustrated’s 2022 Kid of the Year.

UPS is committed to helping small businesses from underserved communities to level the playing field. The brand wanted to make an appearance at the Fall ’22 New York Fashion Week and support the Latinx community.

When it comes to various careers in fashion — from the models, designers, photographers, directors, hair stylists, make-up artists, models, set designers etc they’re all small businesses.

Hispanic people represent 18% of the of the U.S. population. Despite that, they only represent 4% of the Business of Fashion 500.

So what did we do at NYFW? UPS worked with Angelo Baque — Founder and Creative Director of Awake NY to create its second-limited edition clothing line. And we created the first ever fashion bodega — La Bodega Baque in the heart of Soho during NYFW. Everything inside of the bodega was from a Latinx small business, the photographer, director and models from our photoshoot and teaser purchases from the UPS x Awake NY collaboration went to a $50,000 scholarship fund for a Latinx student from the High School of Fashion Industries in NYC.

UPS x Something in the Water festival 

When it comes to small businesses, emerging artists and flowers they have a lot in commmon. With the proper care, nourishment and support they can all blossom and bloom to become amazing things. UPS partnered with Something in the Water to highlight four Black-owned D.C. small businesses to highlight them at the festival.
