I got my start in experiential marketing as a Senior Copywriter at Momentum Worldwide—my first-ever experiential agency. It was where I learned to tell stories and then watch them come to life in the real world. I primarily worked on the Verizon account, creating sports and multicultural campaigns that connected with fans in powerful, real-time ways.

Verizon x NBA VR Free Throw Challenge
Verizon challenged us to create an NBA Finals-themed activation that would drive basketball fans in-store—and we delivered with the Verizon x NBA VR Free Throw Challenge. Using Samsung Gear VR headsets, fans stepped into a virtual court to sink as many free throws as possible in 24 seconds. What started as a soft launch in nine cities quickly proved a slam dunk, leading Verizon to roll out the experience nationwide to promote their sponsorship of Men’s Team USA Basketball on the road to Rio. The activation is now live in over 1,100 stores across the country.

Verizon x 2016 Essence Festival
Verizon tapped us to spotlight the Verizon Innovative Learning program at the 2016 Essence Music Festival—a platform that brings technology and hands-on learning to kids in underserved communities. We created the #VerizonInspires activation inside the convention center, the only space at the festival dedicated to empowering today’s youth and future leaders through creativity, tech, and culture. Blending music, celebrity energy, and interactive experiences, the standout moment was an inspiring photo booth where attendees could pair a personal quote with their portrait—transforming each into a custom print ad featured throughout the festival and across digital billboards in New Orleans.

Verizon x Pittsburgh Penguins
Verizon asked us to create an immersive experience that would fire up hockey fans at Consol Arena and drive traffic to their on-site footprint. Our answer: the Verizon Slapshot Challenge—an interactive activation built around one of the brand’s core pillars: speed. Fans stepped up to test how fast they could launch a puck into the net, with each attempt instantly turned into a shareable GIF for social. In just 10 home games, over 800 fans took the challenge and lit up their feeds. And for an extra dose of fun, we introduced the first-ever Digital Air Hockey Table in an East Coast arena, giving fans another reason to stop, play, and stay.

Verizon x Staples Center Swish Zone
Verizon asked us to design an immersive, turnkey experience for the Staples Center that could excite fans at basketball games, hockey games, and concerts alike. We delivered with a three-in-one activation: The Swish Zone Challenge, The Slapshot Challenge, and The Verizon Showcase. In the Swish Zone, fans had 24 seconds to drain as many free throws as possible for prizes. The Slapshot Challenge let them test their puck speed for bragging rights, while the Verizon Showcase gave guests the spotlight to sing their favorite songs. Each experience generated sharable GIFs and photos, flooding social media with moments powered by Verizon. The result? A hit across every event, with lines of fans eager to join the action.
